On March 31, 2020 Federal Service for Labour and Employment (“Rostrud”) clarified how to pay to the employees working on non-working days from March 30 to April 3, 2020 in Russia.

In the response on the website онлайнинспекция.рф Rostrud confirmed that non-working days from March 30 to April 3, established by the Executive Order of the President No. 206 dated March 25, 2020 on declaring non-work days, shall not be deemed weekend days or public holidays. For this reason, the salary for such day shall be paid in regular amount and not increased one. Rostrud emphasized that this rule was applicable to all employees.

Therefore, this rule applies to the employees of organizations that continue to work as per the Executive Order of the President and to the employees of other organizations which have agreed with their employers to work during non-working days.
